In 1986, the PC industry was on the verge of massive growth. For the first time, high-end hardware and software was becoming available to small and mid-size businesses. However, there were few resources available to help these companies navigate the marketplace. In response to their own challenges in finding expertise in this area, our founders - a CPA and an electrical engineer - started DAVEN Group (now AVENDE.)
Most companies understood either hardware or business applications, but not both. With that in mind, we decided to focus not just on the products, but on the processes needed to successfully implement technology projects. In the ensuing 18 years, AVENDE has served hundreds of central Texas businesses with hardware and software solutions, business process automation and services.
